Our client was established in 2019 as the first Saudi-owned brand in a popular sector of consumer entertainment. Headquartered in Riyadh our client quickly emerged as a pioneer, emerging as a market leader in terms of venue count.

THE CHALLENGE
The company faced a tough challenge: it needed to scale its IT infrastructure to support rapid expansion, while still maintaining high service quality and operational efficiency. As the company entered new markets and worked to enhance its customer experience with innovative entertainment offerings, it required a scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solution.
Should it succeed in finding the right technology partner, the company could deploy enhanced entertainment offerings across its growing network, ensure a seamless customer experience, and manage its operations more effectively, all while navigating the complexities of technological innovation. But there were substantial risks. The company’s technology partner needed to be able to handle the pace and scale of a fast-growing business spread across a wide geographic area. It also needed to proceed in a structured and secure manner – structured to ensure agility, and secure to safeguard the company’s reputation as an entertainment brand.
THE SOLUTION
To meet the challenges of scaling and enhancing IT infrastructure, the company partnered with Bespin Global to implement a sophisticated cloud-based solution utilizing Amazons AWS cloud services.
The solution encompassed a microservices architecture deployment on AWS. Adopting a microservices architecture allowed for more agile development and deployment practices, ensuring that applications could be scaled and updated without disrupting the entire system.
To support our client’s technology requirements, Bespin configured four AWS accounts, one each for the production workload, for staging, and for user acceptance testing. We also configured a development account to facilitate the CI/CD process. “We set up individual accounts for each core workload to boost security protections.” – said Ahmed Hassaan, Project Lead at Bespin.
As next steps, Bespin Global implemented a broad range of AWS services to support our client’s comprehensive requirements. This included
- Amazon ECS Fargate: ECS Fargate allows our client to run container resources without the need to manage servers or clusters, while enjoying extensive flexibility including reducing overhead.
- Amazon Aurora RDS: A relational database service that enables our client to enjoy the performance and availability of high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of open-source databases.
- Amazon ElastiCache Redis: Given the revenue importance of the company’s customer-facing website, ElastiCache Redis provides a necessary performance consistency thanks to in-memory data store and cache, enhancing the speed and responsiveness of applications.
- Amazon CloudFront: Similarly, CloudFront is a fast content delivery network service that securely delivers data, videos and applications to customers globally with low latency.
Security was, of course, another key aspect. Bespin deployed AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and observability, which provides data and actionable insights to monitor applications, respond to system-wide performance changes, optimize resource utilization, and get a unified view of operational health.
Another core tool was AWS IAM (Identity and Access Management) which ensured secure access control by managing users and encryption keys, enhancing the security of the cloud infrastructure.
This comprehensive AWS-based solution enabled our client to enhance its IT infrastructure, promoting scalability, security, and operational efficiency, crucial for supporting its ambitious expansion plans and improving customer experiences
