Falcon 9 is one of the Middle East’s leading cloud consultants and integrators. It provides innovative applications development and managed services to adapt regional infrastructure to the next-generation. Recently, it has been acquired by the Chinese and Korea pioneers of cloud management, Bespin Global. The new company, called Bespin Global MEA is set to launch this month. This strategic acquisition was made by Bespin Global to build on its worldwide perspective and immediately access the Middle Eastern cloud market, which is estimated to reach about USD 4 billion by 2022.

Leading cloud technology vendors like Amazon Web Services (Bahrain), Microsoft Azure (UAE) and Alibaba Cloud (UAE) are investing heavily in the MEA region. The newly formed Bespin Global MEA will allow them to access local cloud technology customers and assist customers in seamlessly transitioning their business eco-systems to global cloud providers.

Regarding the acquisition, Mr John HanJoo Lee, CEO and co-founder of Bespin Global said “As the largest cloud force in East Asia, Bespin Global is now expanding into the MEA market through the acquisition of Falcon 9. We will not only help our MEA customers adopt the Cloud, but also support them to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI).”

Cloud technology adoption is increasing rapidly in the MEA with large enterprises such as Dubai Airports, Careem and Majid Al Futtaim already on board. As a result, Bespin Global MEA will build significantly on the original Falcon 9 team and expand in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in the future.
